University of Nebraska – Lincoln

Independent Study High School

College-Prep Distance Education Since 1929

The following standards mapping pertains to public schools that reside in the states listed below.

National academic content standards have been adopted for all core subject matter areas: English, mathematics, science, and social studies. As a fully accredited high school working with students across the country, our courses are designed to meet national standards as well as our local Nebraska State Academic Standards.

Each state has also developed its own more detailed academic content standards for the four core subject areas. These standards are based on the national standards, and therefore our courses also meet the academic content standards of most other states.

At this site, you will be able to see how your state's standards are addressed by specific ISHS courses, searching by either subject area or course. Currently the following states are included within the site (additional states will be added soon):

NebraskaCaliforniaAlaska
ArizonaColoradoFlorida

South DakotaWisconsinWashington D.C.

If you don’t see your state listed, it does not mean ISHS courses don’t meet your state's standards, as they most likely do. Please contact us for information specific to your state.
